Concrete cutting

Modern Concrete Cutting Technologies Transforming Dubai Construction Projects

Modern concrete cutting is a coordinated family of technologies. The best method is selected from the geometry, reinforcement, access, retained structure and removal plan rather than from a preferred machine.

Modern diamond cutting system configured for structural concreteTechnical insight · Dubai
01

Wire, wall and floor sawing

Diamond wire follows large or irregular sections and is especially useful where blade diameter would be restrictive. Wall saws create accurate linear openings in vertical or horizontal surfaces. Floor saws deliver efficient, depth-controlled cuts through slabs and pavements.

  • Wire saws for thick concrete and complex geometry
  • Track-mounted wall saws for doors and structural openings
  • Floor saws for slabs, trenches and pavements
  • Hand saws for local access and finishing cuts
02

Core drilling and scanning

Core rigs form precise circular penetrations and can be configured for inclined, overhead or extended-depth work. Concrete scanning supports the set-out by identifying reinforcement, tendons and services before physical intervention.

  • MEP penetrations and anchors
  • Structural samples and inspection openings
  • GPR mapping before drilling
  • Water and slurry recovery for occupied sites
03

The next improvement is integration

Cutting technology creates the greatest value when temporary support, rigging and removal are designed at the same time. Digital set-out, monitored execution and better water recovery continue to improve accuracy and reduce disruption across Dubai projects.

Project note

Guidance is the starting point. The site determines the method.

Every structure, access route and operating environment is different. Final engineering, approvals and controls should be based on verified project information and a site-specific assessment.
