Real deep core-drilling rig operating inside an underground rock engineering facility

Rock coring and extended-depth drilling · UAE

Rock coring and deep core drilling services in Dubai and the UAE.

Arasar provides rock coring, deep hole drilling and extended-depth concrete drilling from Dubai for mass foundations and complex civil structures across the UAE where conventional drilling loses reach, cooling or alignment.

Reviewed by Arasar Engineering & HSEVerified company record

The method

Deep hole drilling through rock, mass concrete and foundations.

As drilling depth increases, small errors at the rig become large deviations at the exit point. Barrel extension, reinforcement, spoil removal, cooling and the stability of the drilling assembly all influence the final bore.

Deep coring therefore begins with an engineered setup. Rig position and anchorage are verified, the bore path is coordinated with the structure, and the drilling sequence includes planned breaks for barrel management and inspection. Specialist hydraulic systems can be configured for demanding horizontal, inclined or vertical work.

Rock coring and deep hole drilling · Dubai & UAE

Long bore paths controlled from rig axis to core recovery.

Arasar provides rock coring and deep hole drilling from Dubai for suitable foundation, mass-concrete, civil and infrastructure work across the UAE. Bore depth, diameter, angle, rock or concrete condition, rig anchorage, cooling, spoil and core recovery are reviewed as one method.

Rock and mass-concrete coring

Tooling, power, cooling and recovery stages are selected around the actual material, reinforcement and required sample or penetration.

Deep-bore alignment

A rigid setup, verified entry axis and staged checks limit accumulated deviation over long horizontal, inclined or vertical bore paths.

Controlled recovery and handover

Core sections, water, spoil, breakthrough risk and completed bore records are managed around access and the receiving project requirement.

Why this method

Control at every interface.

Technology creates value only when it is integrated with the structure, the work environment and the required end state.

01

Alignment control

Rigid setup and staged verification limit deviation over an extended bore path.

02

Specialist power

Hydraulic systems and barrel configurations are selected for depth, reinforcement and orientation.

03

Managed recovery

Core sections, spoil and cooling water are controlled throughout the drilling cycle.

Project workflow

From uncertainty to a controlled sequence.

Each stage produces the information needed to release the next, keeping engineering and site execution aligned.

01

Bore engineering

Define entry, exit, diameter, depth, tolerances and structural constraints.

02

Rig and guide setup

Create a stable anchored platform and verify the initial drilling axis.

03

Staged drilling

Extend the barrel progressively, recover cores and monitor alignment and cooling.

04

Final verification

Confirm breakthrough, bore condition and compliance with the required geometry.

Typical deliverables

Clear enough to build from.

  • Bore path and tolerance plan
  • Rig anchorage design
  • Cooling and spoil strategy
  • Depth and completion record

Technical questions

Before mobilisation.

Final methods and capacities are confirmed after a project-specific site assessment.

01What qualifies as deep core drilling?

There is no single threshold. The term applies when bore length, orientation or access requires extension barrels, specialist guidance and controls beyond standard coring practice.

02How is deviation controlled?

A stable rig, accurate initial set-out, compatible barrel assemblies and staged checks are used. The achievable tolerance depends on the structure and bore length.

03Can heavily reinforced concrete be drilled?

Diamond systems can pass through reinforcement, but steel density affects tooling, production and heat. Available drawings and scanning help the team plan the most reliable path.

04Does Arasar provide rock coring services in Dubai and across the UAE?

Yes, for suitable civil, foundation and infrastructure scopes. Rock type, bore diameter, depth, angle, access, alignment tolerance, core recovery and water or spoil controls are reviewed before equipment and method are confirmed.

05What is the difference between core drilling and deep hole drilling?

Standard core drilling forms defined circular penetrations at conventional depths. Deep hole drilling requires extended barrels, more rigid alignment control, staged core recovery and additional cooling or spoil management because small setup errors increase over the longer bore path.
