Choose the method from the finished geometry
Start with the opening or section the project needs after cutting. A circular penetration, straight wall opening, slab trench and irregular mass-concrete separation require different tooling. The comparison also needs to include scan results, water or slurry controls, rig or track fixing, temporary support and the weight of the released section.

What each method controls well
Wire sawing is useful when blade diameter or access restricts conventional saws. Track-mounted wall saws create accurate linear openings. Floor saws produce long controlled cuts from a horizontal surface. Core drills create defined round penetrations and can be combined as stitch drilling for larger or unusual openings.
These strengths do not remove the engineering around the cut. Reinforcement and post-tensioning, the stability of the remaining structure, support of the cut piece and safe access for removal remain project decisions.
Resolve common project objections before cutting
Noise, water, dust, access and programme are often raised after a method is proposed. They should be part of selection. Wet diamond systems need water and slurry management; dry operations need suitable dust extraction; large panels require planned support and lifting; occupied areas may need phased work zones and timing restrictions.
